When it comes to selecting the hottest vacation destinations in the world one must consider whether you want to natural surroundings including beaches, volcanoes, and beaches or perhaps more of a city destination where you’ll find fine dining and museums among other things.

For the worlds top natural destination we’ve chosen Costa Rica for several reasons. It offers some extremely beautiful beach locations on each the Pacific and Atlantic sides, but we recommend visiting the Pacific beaches first if you have only enough time to go to one side. Most of the beaches are lined with virgin forests, however, development has been clipping along in this country at a fair pace for the last twenty years. Volcan Arenal is a very active volcano near Foturna and Monteverde. Lake Arenal extends north from the volcano for a few miles and creates some beautiful vantage points from which to view the volcano during the day as well as a night when it’s flows can often be spotted on it’s side. South East Asia and Thailand specifically are a close second, but we’ll explore that another time.

For those that aren’t willing to face a few mosquitoes there’s always Paris. The only thing that you can’t do in Paris is enjoy a day at the beach. There is a myriad of things to do besides sampling all of the delicacies to be found in this lovely city. Many take river cruises on the Seine River which passes by Notre Dame Cathedral. It’s also noteworthy to take a stroll down the Champs-lyses even though it’s more than a mile long. You’ll undoubtedly find yourself staring at the traffic whizzing around in circles at the Arc de Triomphe. Without a doubt you’ll want to stroll through the markets taking time to sample the local produce and sit in the local eateries.
